Proactive medicine has always been one of the pillars of our practice. Now, in times such as these, proactive medical management continues as we develop our standards of care to continue to protect our patients from COVID-19 and the flu.
In your daily routine, remember to continue to follow these precautions:
- Wash your hands frequently and keep hands away from your face.
- Wear a facial covering when in public (preferably an N-95 mask, if you have COPD, Chronic Bronchitis, Heart Failure, or have been advised by your AHMP provider)
- Avoid large groups and unnecessary guests.
- Continue to take all prescribed medications and keep your routine follow up appointments.
As we are entering flu season, we strongly encourage all of our patients, their families, and caregivers to receive a flu vaccine. Your care provider will help to set you up with a pharmacist to come to your home to administer the flu vaccine, if you are unable to leave your home.
Changes in your condition that you should report to AHMP as soon as possible:
- Shortness of breath
- Cough
- Fever
- Nausea/vomiting/diarrhea
- Body aches/fatigue
- Loss of appetite
- Loss of smell and/or taste
At Home Medical Professionals is here to help protect our patients. Contact your care provider and team 24/7 330-590-0847 (choose option 1 after 4:00 pm and on weekends).
